We Have Company was a co-creation space, created to be a multi-functional, multi-purpose space where work was to be catalyzed by the exchange of ideas, sharing of knowledge and work together. 

We Have Company acted as a cushy nest designed to accelerate the successful development of creative and innovative ventures through an array of mutual support resources and services, developed and orchestrated by the members. In addition, We Have Company lead co-creation initiatives and events aimed at creating innovation.

Nov2k 2011

Nov2k is a yearly symposium that is organized and run by graduate students at Karolinska Institutet and Södertörn University. Mixing playfulness with inspiration for interaction, the team brought Experience Design insights to the planning of the event, creating intimacy and the feeling of being part of the action to the event itself.

Nobel NightCap 2010

The Nobel Night Cap is the grand after party of the Nobel Prize Banquet; held yearly in Stockholm it is a themed night of spectacular prestige with eating, drinking and celebration in excess. In 2010 members of The Experience Design Group collaborated with the organizing body (Handels) to bring transient and intangible moments of experience to the fairy-tale themed event.

About me

FERNANDA TORRE embodies the interdisciplinary intersection between design, business and innovation, while exploring synergies between practice and research. With more than 13 years of experience, Torre is the CEO of FT Innovation, a consultancy on innovation management and design strategy, and is a Visiting Teacher affiliated to the House of Innovation at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), Sweden. Torre is a teacher in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship concentration of the SSE MBA, is a faculty member in the Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship, where she teaches Trendspotting & Future Forecasting and Design Thinking, as well as she is a Design Industry Leader at Hyper Island

With a background in graphic design (Red Dot Design award 2014 with Gabor Palotai) and experience design (Beam me up, Scotty! award in Helsinki design fair, 2013), Torre has made her way into innovation management (Stora Enso Innovation Award for Intelligent Packaging, 2016). Fernanda has experience in the most diverse sectors such as innovation & design consulting (consulting for Above), renewable materials & manufacturing industry (Group Innovation and R&D in Stora Enso) in sustainability leadership (LEAD program in the Stockholm Resilience Centre), gendered medical innovations (Karolinska Centre for Gender Medicine, Department of Medicine) and entrepreneurship in creative industries (Balticlab, Swedish Institute and CBSS).

In terms of research, Torre is part of the Vinnova-funded project 4Boards.ai, together with Robin Teigland and Liselotte Ensgtam, aiming to support corporate boards in governing AI toward innovation and sustainability. Torre was also a proponent of the Biosphere Code, a manifesto for sustainable algorithmic development. 

Furthermore, Torre is a founding member of the Speculative Futures Chapter in Stockholm, a board member of Innovationsledarna (Association for Innovation Management Professionals in Sweden) and a Swedish expert in the technical committee for the 56000 ISO standard on innovation management.

Fernanda Torre has a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA)  in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the Stockholm School of Economics, awarded with the President’s List (for outstanding academic achievement) and the SSE Award for Class Contribution (voted by fellow MBAs). Fernanda has also a Master’s in Fine Arts in Experience Design from Konstfack (Vasakronan scholarship nomination and Ulla Fröberg-Cramérs Foundation scholarship) and Bachelor in Arts in Communication Design - Graphic Art Porto University. Fernanda also has a Trendspotting and Future Thinking course from the Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship and the National Institute of Design (NID) in India, and is a recognized public speaker and thought leader (TEDx Matosinhos, Design Talks Business in Gdynia Design Days). Fernanda is also the founder of Frames – Portuguese Film Festival in Sweden.
